Ingredients:
- 4 cups frozen tater tots.
- 1 pound breakfast sausage.
- 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter.
- 2 cups of milk.
- Pepper and salt to taste.
- Shredded cheddar cheese.
- Chopped green onions.
- Fried eggs.
Instruction:
- Preheat oven and bake tater tots following bag instructions until crisp.
- Cook breakfast sausage in a frying pan until golden and crumbly. Drain off excess fat, keeping 2 tablespoons in the pan.
- Add flour and cook for 2 minutes. Slowly whisk in the milk and simmer until the gravy becomes thick. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine bowls by placing tater tots in each bowl and top with sausage gravy. Add additional optional toppings such as cheese, green onions and eggs.
