Tater Tot Breakfast Bowl with Sausage Gravy is a crispy dish, made with creamy sausage gravy, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions and fried eggs.

Notes

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups frozen tater tots.
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage.
  • 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter.
  • 2 cups of milk.
  • Pepper and salt to taste.
Optional toppings:
  • Shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Chopped green onions.
  • Fried eggs.

Instruction:

  1. Preheat oven and bake tater tots following bag instructions until crisp.
  2. Cook breakfast sausage in a frying pan until golden and crumbly. Drain off excess fat, keeping 2 tablespoons in the pan.
  3. Add flour and cook for 2 minutes. Slowly whisk in the milk and simmer until the gravy becomes thick. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine bowls by placing tater tots in each bowl and top with sausage gravy. Add additional optional toppings such as cheese, green onions and eggs.
