Notes

Ingredients :

    • 1 + ½ lbs shrimp.
    • 12 tablespoons unsalted butter.
    • ½ large onion.
    • 4 cloves garlic.
    • ½ cup Worcestershire sauce.
    • 3 tablespoons hot sauce.
    • ½ cup beer.
    • ½ lemon.
    • 1 sprig of fresh thyme.
    • 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary.
    • 2 sprigs fresh oregano.
    • 1 tablespoon garlic pepper.
    • ½ tablespoon cayenne.
    • 1 tablespoon pepper.
    • Salt to taste.
    • Parsley.
  • Green onion.

Instructions:

  • Wash shrimp in cold water and drain, keeping shells for flavor.
  • Melt ½ cup butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onion for 3-4 minutes until soft, then add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Mix in Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, lemon juice and beer.
  • Chop rosemary, thyme, and oregano leaves; add with Bayou Seasoning, cayenne pepper, salt and pepper. Let simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add shrimp and blend into the sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  • Remove from heat and stir in 3 tablespoons butter until melted.
  • Garnish with parsley or green onion. Serve with crusty bread or rice.
