What is The Swedish Fish Cocktail?

The Swedish Fish Cocktail is a relatively new member of the cocktail family. Its first idea was inspired from the popular fish candies in Sweden, which are red colored. This cocktail has a sweet, fruity flavor with a subtle touch of tartness. So if you like those candies or you are into fruity cocktails, this one here is for you!

Ingredients :

  • 1 cup red Swedish fish (mini size or full)
  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1/2 cup cherry juice
  • 1/4 cup Loganberry Liqueur (or raspberry liqueur)

Instructions :

  1. Add the vodka and the Swedish Fish in an airtight container a night before making the cocktail.
  2. Keep shaking the container once in a while to agitate the fish.
  3. The morning after you must have a pink colored vodka. The fish don’t really dissolve, so you will have to strain out the vodka and throw away the fish, or simply eat them if you want!
  4. Use cubed ice or any shape you want to fill the glasses above the rim.
  5. Verse all the other ingredients to the glass and blend gently.
  6. Top with Swedish Fish if you desire.
